Travel Tips: A recap (Pets 🐩, Brides 💍 and COVID🤧)

Hello and welcome to travel ➕ explore ➕play with Sallee Jay where I am your host.

And to my faithful Jay’s 🐦, I hope you’ve been soaring high and accomplishing great things in the new year. ❤️

For those of you who do not follow me on social media, (why 🤷🏾‍♀️ aren’t you following @salleejay), I’ve implemented #TravelTipTuesday, where I share quick travel tips to help you plan your next trip.

Tips like, if you decide to travel, be sure to take the steps during your trip to protect yourself and others from COVID-19:

✈️ check travel restrictions before you go.

✈️ Bring extra supplies, such as masks and hand sanitizer.

✈️ know when to delay your travel. Do not travel if you or your travel companions are sick.

And for my brides to be in 2021, you’ll love this next this☝🏾Travel tip...☝🏾:

Keep your Honeymoon Under Wraps 🤐🤭

When you plan your honeymoon trip, refrain from sharing that you are planning a honeymoon. I know as a bride you are EXCITED‼️ However, some entities will charge you extra because they know couples are willing to splurge on their special getaway.

So save yourself cash 💰 and aggravation.

However, after your travel planning is complete, when making your reservation, it may pay to share the information that you are arriving for your honeymoon. Some places will give you free upgrades or complementary items.

And for my pet lovers… I got you!!!!

Right now, many airlines are not allowing pet travel, or only allowing it in the case that the pet can come on the flight with you and not as cargo (as if pets are cargo anyway🧐😳🙄!).

But the rules do vary depending on the airlines, as well as your destination state or country. Check restrictions before you travel.

Also, visit the vet before you book your flight. Your veterinarian can look for health issues that may make flying risky for your fur baby. The vet can also make sure that your pet is up-to-date on vaccinations most airlines require, like those for rabies, kennel cough, flu and others…

Lastly, pet friendly airlines include Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, UnitedAirlines and AlaskaAirlines.

Hopefully you’ve found these tips useful. Until the next time happy traveling.
