Can I be honest? While I’ve heard of the luxury brand Christian Dior, I did not know much about the fashion house. That all changed last week, when I viewed the “Dior: From Paris to the World” exhibit currently on display at the Denver Art Museum (DAM) through March 3, 2019. Two hundred dresses are beautifully and thoughtfully displayed throughout the various show rooms! Each time you turn the corner, your mind becomes a little more blown!! 🤯 This exhibition is organized by the DAM and curated by Florence Müller, the DAM’s Avenir Foundation Curator of Textile Art and Fashion. She balances color and structure with texture and a warmth that only comes with genuine story telling. If you are looking for date night or girls/boys night out suggestions, then add this exhibit to your list of places to visit this winter. It is an intricate journey, chronicling the successes and pitfalls of the house with various leaders at the helm. There are family components though-out the exhibition, so feel free to share this experience with the youngest fashionistas in your life.
Christian Dior lived a relatively short life yet his legacy continues to live on some 70 years later.
